My name is Amiya Payne and I am a Guard graduating in 2021. I attend a 7A High School and led my high school team in scoring this year.
I want to let you know about both some academic and athletic accomplishments. One of my biggest academic accomplishments is being ranked number 1 out of 200 plus students going into 8th grade and being inducted into the Junior National Honor Society. I made the varsity basketball team as a 7th grader. This year I made the Regional Basketball All Tournament Team. I made the 3rd Team All State for 7A and honorable mention in the 2018 All Birmingham Girls HS Basketball Team. Another big highlight is being o the 2021 HoopGurlz rankings. I play club basketball season with the Alabama Southern Starz 2021 team.
I have played basketball since I was five and I love it. I love the spirit of competition, teammates motivating each other, and the lessons I learn that apply to my regular life. I am coachable, motivated, and I am a capable ball handler and shooter.
I am interested in academic programs like Kinesiology, Sports Management, and related Pre-Physical Therapy Programs. I plan to update my profile with academic and athletic accomplishments as I move through high school. I will be sure post high school varsity basketball and club ball schedules. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Amiya Skye Payne
