I began playing golf when I was 7 years old at the First Tee of Phoenix. I played other sports growing up too (Soccer, T-Ball, Basketball, and Pop Warner Football); but, golf was the one sport that I kept coming back to. It ultimately became my sole focus due to my love of the game. Over the last several years, I have tried to hone my skills to better my game, competing not only on my high school team as the top player, but also competitively in the JGAA and most recently, AGJA.
One of my main goals on my high school golf team is to make it to the state championship, both as a team and individually. I did not qualify my freshman year, although was close with my score average of +2.302. I did qualify my sophomore year, bettering my freshman average with a +.690. I hope to better my score average in the upcoming seasons.
I am a team leader; I lead by example for my teammates and coaching staff. I am easily coachable and practice hard to find what works to improve my skills. I strive to be my best both on and off the course.
My goals for education are to study strong all year and maintain a high GPA, to be a leader in the classroom, and to lead by example for my peers across campus.
I want to attend a college where I can continue to push myself on the golf course, be part of a great team environment, and to also achieve a strong academic career path. I am open to all options and want to find the best college for me with the highest level of competition possible. I will work hard at achieving both my academic and collegiate golf goals!
