Personal Statement

Hello Coaches and recruiters! My name is Joseph and I am an aspiring college and professional golfer.  My collegiate goals and aspirations are to get a full-ride scholarship to an in-state university or college to play golf. I want to study business management, sales, marketing, advertising, and finances. I am a good candidate for your team because I work hard and strive to be successful. I know with help, more experience, and confidence, I will be able to excel and succeed.  Most of all, prove to you that I am a good candidate. I am different from the other recruits because I have a strong work ethic, I never give up,  I always strive for excellence and most of all you will never hear excuses from me.  At the end of the day, I want to play golf at the highest level. I am and have always been active in extracurricular activities.  I am a part of Boy Scouts of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Interact, Student Government,  and the National Society of High School Scholars.

  • I came into the tournament ready to compete and play some great golf and shot 86 the first day. The second day for some reason I had a mental battle with me feeling very ill-confident and low self-esteem and shot a 95. I learned a lot from this tournament in that I need to stay positive no matter what and to believe that my swing can produce the result I want from what I have learned and the hard work I put in.

  • Tucson Conquistadores Spring Classic
