William Vickery '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is William Vickery, and I am currently enrolled in my Junior year of high school at Empire High School in Vail, Arizona. I was a member of the Duke TIP program and took the ACT in seventh grade.  I scored a 24 with a 29 in science. I took the ACT again in October of 2017. I scored a 30 composite with a 33 in science. I love playing or practicing golf and have been playing for 11 years. My average 18 hole score is a 72 with a handicap of 5.5. I like to challenge myself both in academics and on the course, and I play in both local and state-wide tournaments. I would like to be at a school that not only lets me further my golf career, but also challenges me academically in my dream field, Engineering. More specifically, I would like to be a Petroleum Engineer, but I am also interested in Mechanical or Weapons Engineering. I am hoping that I can get scholarships in academics and/or athletics.
