My name is Dalton McGinnis. I have lived in Deer, AR for my entire life. I have also attended school at Deer the entire for my entire education. I have achieved honor roll every year. I am also a member of our FBLA team and have made it to state the last 2 years. I began golfing at 5 years old, but started competing at age 12. I live 1 hour away from any golf course, so playing rounds is difficult. I have been a member of the First Tee of NWA for the last 5 years. By attending the First Tee, I have learned patience and perseverance, along with course management skills. I have won championships at the local, regional, and state levels. In 2018, I won the Arkansas State 1A tournament by 11 shooting an even par 72 at Mountain Ranch Golf Club. I also won the Junior PGA for Arkansas to earn a spot in the SouthCentraI championship in Oklahoma, earning a runner-up finish. I have done this with minimal coaching and would love the opportunity to join a golf program where I could grow my game further. I believe that I have what it takes to not only compete, but excel at the collegiate level.
