My name is Nicolas Harrison and I reside in Buena Park, CA. The main reason I play golf is for the satisfaction and success of playing well and enjoying the thrill of competition. I thrive on the challenges of the game and being in a competitive environment. I also am an individual that is focused on commitment and organization and golf is a game that requires both of these skills. Lastly, I believe in the spirit of sportsmanship and I can’t think of another sport, especially today, that holds sportsmanship at it’s highest level. I am a current Toyota Tour Cup cardholder and multiple winner on the SCGA Jr. Players Tour. I have had the opportunity to play on multiple challenging golf courses in Hawaii (Nanea, Kukio Golf & Beach Club) and golf courses in St. Andrews, Scotland, as well as Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines in California. While in Scotland I was able to meet Gary Player who gave me an impromptu lesson and provided me with guidance and goal setting which furthered my passion to pursue golf at the next level This summer I will get the chance to participate in the Kerry Cup in Ireland which will be another exciting and educational international golf experience. My dad has been a huge help along the way. He has encouraged me to pursue my passion in golf and help me gain experience I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. I attended to St. Juliana Falconieri School ( K-8) in Fullerton, Ca and graduated as valedictorian. Currently I attend Servite High School in Anaheim, CA and won a spot as a Varsity player as a freshman. Last year as a freshman I won 2nd team All Trinity League honors. When not pursuing my golf game and applying myself academically, I volunteer as a participant in fundraising events for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health), Alzheimer’s Association and National Brain Tumor Society. I also work with our church St. Juliana Falconieri as a volunteer on multiple events throughout the year and for the past 3 years I have been a volunteer Marshal at the Northern Trust/Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club. I enjoy playing piano, ping pong, traveling, skiing, swimming and reading . I plan to pursue business accounting in college and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
