I have big goals and aspire to be the best version of myself. I am working towards getting a degree in Computer Science and will pursue my career in the field of Cyber Security. That has been my passion since I was in middle school and attended Cypress College outside of my regular middle school hours for a program called Cyber Patriots. The program was created by the Air Force Association and taught by Homeland Security Instructors. I even had the chance to compete against many schools and students and made it to the Semi-Final stage. That's when I knew this is what I wanted to do. To serve & protect my community and country thru Cyber Security. Currently, I am in the Computer Science pathway at my high school, so my classes are geared toward this field. I am also currently enrolled at Cerritos College (for the Dual Enrollment program) for Cyber Security. I have been taking college courses for the last 2 years to obtain a Cyber Security certificate. I would love to get a paid internship or entry-level job to help me gain experience & afford my higher education.
I would make for a great candidate for any team that gives me the opportunity to show them how very passionate I am for the sport of Golf. I started playing for the 1st time when I started 9th grade and quickly fell in love with it. I lacked knowledge & experience in this sport in comparison to some of my teammates, but that didn't hold me back. I worked twice as hard and became dedicated to becoming a stronger teammate. I was quickly moved up from Freshman to JV and was given the coaches award along with the Athletic Honor for maintaining a 4.0 GPA academically during my 2nd year in the sport. I earned the respect of my coaches and most importantly my school team. I am always looking to improve and get better and want the same for my teammates. I want to be a good role model and that is why before our matches I would talk to/motivate my teammates to make sure we were all in a good mindset and ready to play and most importantly have fun. At the end of my 2nd year, the pandemic hit.
I come from a humble background. My family consists of my mom and I. What makes me different from the other recruits is, that I value opportunities. Not having much makes you appreciate every little thing. Also, an interesting fact, my mother is Hindu, my father was Muslim, my grandparents follow Sikhism and I attend a Catholic school and have learned so much about Christianity. I am a beautiful mix of so many cultures & religions. All of that is what gives me character, and the ability to be open-minded, to be patient/understanding, and most importantly kind to everyone. Especially, during these difficult times. That is what makes me a unique asset to any school or team. My mother has worked hard as a single mom to provide me with every opportunity possible, so I am able to reach my potential and pursue my dreams. She has taught me that no matter how many times it takes, you keep trying till you get to where you want to be. Your circumstances are your opportunities to do better.
