Hi, I'm Marlon Jones class of 2023,  at Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, CA.   Through hard work, I have earned a  3.88 GPA, and was the #1 golfer on the Varsity High School golf team.  After our season was cut short, I started playing competitive tournaments and after four events I placed first at the 2020 JGANC Winter classic:  14 to 18 YO  division; day 1 (74) and day 2 (77).   My golf career is just beginning and after  2 years, I  have obtained  a scratch handicap index, and tournament scoring average of  75.  I feel the numbers do not tell the whole story of my abilities. With a second  year of tournament  playing  experience and course management knowledge, my rankings should climb. The best part of my game is my short game and driving. My short game isn't one-dimensional. I'm able to hit flop shots, low spinner, bum and runs, and bunker blast. These skills allow me to get up and down from anywhere. I truly believe that my love for the game of golf and solid work ethic will drive me to succeed at the collegiate level.
