One of my biggest accomplishments as a Burlingame High School golfer came my Freshman year. As the only Freshman on my varsity golf team, I competed in the qualifier for the PAL Tournament. After qualifying, I was one of the only Freshman in the Peninsula Athletic League to compete in the Sectional Qualifier Tournament finishing 7th, just missing qualifying individually for the Central Coast Sectionals by 2 since the top 5 golfers advanced. This experience set the tone for my high school golfing career and showed me that I could not only perform at a higher level, but that I also would be able to take on a leadership role on my team. As a Sophomore I helped lead my team to qualify for the Central Coast Sectionals as well as qualifying as an individual golfer by my competitive scores throughout the season, finishing in the top 25 in the league and bypassing the qualifying tournament and advancing directly to the sectional.
As a Burlingame High School golfer, I am fortunate to be able to play at some of the area’s most challenging country clubs. Our team’s home course is Burlingame Country Club and we compete at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club and Peninsula Golf and Country Club among other private and public courses in the area. As a scholar-athlete, I am looking for the opportunity to take my golf game to the next level. I believe my focus on both golf and academics makes me an ideal candidate not only to achieve this goal, but to bring my skills both on and off the course to your collegiate program.
