I am a 17-year-old high school senior and I attend Culver City High School. We are in the Los Angeles, California, metropolitan area. I will be graduating next June as part of the class of 2022 and I am looking for a college or university to play golf for next year. I have been playing golf for 14 years and counting and I love it. I have played for championships all over theUS and some overseas venues like Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt. In my most recent tournaments, I played a total of five of them during the summer season, I got one first place, three top three's and one top-five finish. My scoring for those tournaments was OK, but I want to improve on them and go lower. At the moment my USGA handicap is 3.6but trending lower due the 70 and 71 I shot in tournaments this summer. My goal is to be consistently under par by the end of this upcoming golf season. As part of my golf training his summer, I started lifting weights and starting over-speed training. I am working on getting longer off the tee and more accurate from the fairway. I am also learning how to strategize my golf play before I get on the course so I will have a plan on how to win on courses I have never seen before. I have been using GolfLogix and Google Earth as tools to break down courses and look at how to play them. I am also working on mental preparation and shot visualization. As for my upcoming education, I would like to get a degree in business and economics. I am very curious about the stock market and how to make money in it. At the moment I have a 2.2 GPA. I know my GPA is low and I am working hard to get it up. I feel that part of the reason for my low GPA was because, during my Junior year, the Covid-19 pandemic made me shift to schooling online. I didn’t do well in online school because there were too many distractions. My grades are much better now that I am back in high school. At the moment I am on track to get two A's and two B's. As school progresses I will update my grades and GPA.
