I want to play golf in a competitive NCAA program. I began playing golf after being introduced to the game by my grandfather while I was a travel baseball athlete. I began playing golf at age 10 recreationally, but because of my athleticism and natural swing, my family and several golf coaches, urged me to focus solely on competitive golf. I soon became determined to become successful in the sport. I would like to attend a college that will be a good fit for me academically and where I know I can make an immediate impact for the golf team. I remain committed to my academic and athletic goals.
I am confident my golf game will continue to improve because of my strong work ethic. In one year, my scoring average dropped from a 42 as a freshman to below a 38 as a sophomore. Not only do I practice golf several days each week, but also I also continually work on my physical strength and flexibility. I’m easy going, coachable and I’m a good teammate.
