Hi my name is Glenn Meadows, and ever since I was eleven years old I've had aspirations to be a competitive golfer at the college level. Ever since the very first time my dad took me to the course with him I knew I would be hooked on this crazy game. My dad didn't know much about golf other than what he had seen on TV, but he knew one thing: that I had a natural ability to play the game. The reason I love this game with such a passion is because of how it relates to life; no other game can be compared to real life in the way golf can. No matter what happens you have to take the bad with the good, pick your head up, and move onto what's next.
Ever since I began playing this game, I've had a passion to improve myself each day I go out to practice. I work hard for everything I earn, and I don't take any opportunities for granted. I understand the hard work and dedication that comes along with being a college athlete, and I'm excited for every minute of it. Grades have always been very important to me, and I believe they're a good reflection of hard work and effort. I find it important to learn as much as I can in class in order to improve myself in anyway I can. Along with golf and school, I have a part-time job at Raising Cane's. I've used my money I've earned to pay for part of my car and for half of my new clubs. My dedication to golf, school, and success has gotten me where I am today, and will continue to help me improve myself as I continue my journey through college.
I've set many goals for myself to compete at the highest levels possible, through golf and academics. I will be a consistent, reliable member of the team that will provide a positive impact on my teammates. My goals for academics are to be an honor roll student all four years of my college career, with a strong understanding of what it means to be successful. My goal is to bring class and honor to my school and represent my team in a positive light. My main aspirations in becoming a college golfer are to represent my school and team with class, to succeed in the classroom and on the course, and to bring my passion to support my team and contribute to winning.
