Lance Kersey '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lance Kersey. I have tried many different sports but the one that felt perfect for me is swimming. I have a true passion for this sport, I have grown to love the competition of swimming. I have only been swimming for about a year, even though I swam freshman year. I joined swim halfway through the season, my sophomore year was cut short to only one meet, and junior year was limited to league due to COVID. Through this hardship of not swimming, I have still managed to earn the position of captain of my high school team. I am reliable, punctual, and dependable, I am a great team player and I take criticism very well. My leadership and dependability are shown outside of school as well, I was a certified lifeguard for the past two years. I also have been a part of my digital film and production crew at my high school, where I learned how to operate under pressure and continue to push through the obstacles that life throws at you. I would also love the opportunity to dive in college, as my high school does not offer diving. I feel I would be a great asset to any team as both a swimmer and a diver.
