My name is Attila Sharipbek. I'm from Kazakstan, and I moved to the United States in 2nd grade, where I began my journey pursuing golf. I spent most of my childhood wanting to play professionally. The work ethic and dedication that I developed from constantly striving to improve my golf game has spread to all parts of my life. Golf has taught me to fully dedicate myself to everything I do. 

Three words that describe who I am are ambitious, hardworking, and resourceful. Due to a tragedy, I experienced when I was younger, I learned never to take opportunities for granted and to capitalize on the opportunities present in life consistently. This is significant both for sports and for academics. This year, I'm working two internships and still making it to every practice and game to support my team. 

My goal for college is not only to improve my golf game but to better my teamwork with others. I'm social and outgoing but playing a team sport will help me coordinate with others better and teach me to be a leader both on course and off the course. Academically, I am planning to double major in Finance and Analytics, to get the most out of my four years. I'm prepared to work harder than expected of me, I'm prepared to fail, and I'm prepared to learn because that is the only way I can improve and achieve my ambitions.
