June 2020Personal Statement
"The most important shot in golf is the next one." I learned early on that these are words to live by in this sport. Golf has always been my passion but it has not been without its ups and downs. It is a sport where your game relies entirely on your own performance. And, some days just don't go as planned. As a member of my high school varsity golf team since freshman year, I valued the relationships I was able to build with my teammates and took a lot away from the experience they had on the course. I look forward to being a leader next year and sharing with my team the things I have learned on my journey. I am not afraid to work hard and have learned as a student how to access resources available to me to maximize my abilities in the classroom. I do not give up. I hope to continue playing the game of golf in college and contributing to a team's success at a competitive level.
