Since I was 6 years old my father taught me the game of golf. Since then golf has become my lifelong passion. I aspire myself to become a great golf player and someday have the opportunity to play college level golf. When I am at the Golf course I forget everything that is happening around me and I only focus on practicing and becoming better. What makes me different from any other recruit is that i have the ability to control my emotions around the golf course. Anytime I hit a bad shot I always remain calm and just focus on the next shot. I live an athletic lifestyle due to the fact I workout four days out of the week apart from playing golf.
I am currently a 1.6 handicap and am recently scoring in the low to mid 70's on difficult, lengthy Robert Trent Jones and Donald Ross type courses with multiple bunkers around the greens as well as elevated/blind greens. Although I'm a pretty good athlete who has acheived 1st team honors in basketball as well as 2nd team honors in golf (in the most competitive high school golf league in Northern California) my junior year, I am focusing and prioritizing golf over basketball my senior year and am very close to breaking 70 a consistent basis. I have had back nine rounds of 31 and 33 at Poppy Hills, Pebble Beach and Cinnibar Hills, San Jose which are evidence that I am on the right track.
Since focusing entirely on golf and hoping to earn a spot on a college roster (scholarship or non scholarship), my short game has drastically improved where my confidence to get up and down has had a measurable impact on my scrambling and ability to save par. I love the game of golf and would like to pursue dreams at the next level - the college level for any coach or team that would find insterest in my love for the game, as well as my commitment and work ethic. I am now playing competitively on the Northern Tour of California at least 1-2 times a month and improving every month.
I hope you will consider me a growth asset for your team. I have PGA certified references who can speak to my raw, natural ability and ceiling. I hope that you will consider reaching out to my references for an objective view of my talent, trends, progress, and future projections.
