I love golf. I’ve played for most of my life and I enjoy the game immensely. I started out by playing casually and started playing tournaments after a few years. I’ve always enjoyed the feeling of hitting a pure iron, sinking a long putt, and spending time with friends and family. I hope to play golf for the rest of my life. But you’re not reading this statement to learn about how I got into the game. You’re reading this statement because you want to get to know a little bit about me as a player and as a person. As a player, my short game is the best part of my game and I work hard to keep it that way. I’m currently 5’8, 125 lbs, but I think I still hit the ball pretty far for my size. As a person, I love playing sports in general (I‘ve also played basketball, soccer, tennis, skiing, and football), my favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones and Brooklyn 99, and I do Mock Trial and Horizons (a tutoring program for underprivileged kids). I hope you’ll consider me for your college golf program.
