I played in my first golf league at 4 years old (I won 1st place for the 6 and unders) and have loved competitive golf ever since! I have played in the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado and Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour tournaments since I was 8 years old. I have also been chosen to be a member of the Hale Irwin Player Program since 2012. As a freshman, I was the Varsity number 2 player and was only one of 2 players from my high school to qualify for the State Championship that year. As a sophomore, I played Varsity and tied for 1st at Regionals, ensuring my entire team qualified for State, this was also the first time in ten years that my high school had won regionals. I was voted MVP for the 2018 season and I have also received the Metropolitan League First Team All League award all 4 years of high school.
In the summer, I have been volunteering with the Special Olympics Golf Colorado where I spend time with special needs kids and adults when they are out on the range and playing golf. I love giving back doing something I love and teaching others to understand and enjoy golf as much as I do! I have also been a swimmer with the University of Denver Hilltoppers (TOPS is a USA Silver Medal Club and is ranked in the country's top 20 swim clubs for team performance) since 2009. In addition to playing tournament golf in the summer, I work as a lifeguard at Skyline Acres Swim and Tennis Club as well as caddy at Cherry Hills Country Club. These summer jobs have taught me about balance, managing my time and my priorities, particularly as I am also on the Skyline Sharks swim team and play golf tournaments all summer.
I have been on the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado Academic All Star Team every year since 2011. I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me academically. I am very passionate about golf and would love to continue my career at the collegiate level. Golf really is a way of life for me! My main attributes are my work ethic, focus, perseverance and desire to win. I apply these attributes to both my academics and golf.
In the 2019 High School season I have finished in the top 5 in 7 tournaments, I lead my team to be the Metro League Champions, a first for our school and I also received Metropolitan League First Team All League. Last week, I finished 3rd at Regionals to qualify for State. At State, our team finished 3rd , the highest ever finish for Colorado Academy. I was also named MVP for Colorado Academy.
