My name is Evan Smith. I first picked up a golf club in the beginning of 2018. My fiery competitiveness has pushed me to always want to improve and compete. I love the challenge of trying to win. I take that same mentality to my teammates and in the classroom always pushing to do better. I want to compete at the highest level I possibly can, I have big dreams and aspirations for my future in golf. I love the competition and always push my teammates to do better and I try to light the fire under them to make them do their best. Golf has developed my character so much, it has taught me patience and my maturity as a person has greatly improved while playing the game. I enjoy listening to other people and am always looking for more to understand about the game.
I continue to hold these high standards in the classroom. I have always had high expectations for myself since I am able to see my true potential and this is why I constantly push myself. I always tell myself to not let myself regret not working hard enough. I think my mentality towards the game of golf and towards life is what makes me stand out. I pride myself in the mentality I take to life and golf, to never quit, and to be able to fight back when I fail. I have learned to not fear failure but instead embrace the chance to go and myself what I can do.
