Personal Statement

Hello coach, I'm Colby Norton and i attend Lewis Mills High School in Burlington Connecticut. I plan on getting my handicap and scores down throughout my high school career. I currently play on the JRPGA in Connecticut, Hurricane Golf Tour and AJGA. As a freshman, sophomore and junior I received  #1 all Berkshire League and won the Berkshire League golf tournament as a freshman and junior. I currently play for my schools varsity basketball team and played many other sports like baseball, so I understand a team environment and know the commitment of being part of a team. My GPA is currently a 3.4 and will be taking my second SAT in the fall. Outside of school I now work at Torrington Country Club as a bag boy and that’s where I play most of my golf.  My scoring average for my high school junior year was a 1.4 over par and I received 1st team all state for the second straight year and was ranked #1 for my state division. Golf has always been my passion since a little kid and I'm extremely dedicated to the game.
