My parents discovered I was a lefty at the age of three, when I picked up my first iron. After years of playing baseball, hockey, tennis, swimming and basketball, I realized at the age of eleven that golf would be my sport. I learned who I am and where I wanted to be is reflected on a golf course. It fits my patient personality and allows me to spend time with my best friend, my dad and my sometimes caddy, my mom. When I am not on a golf course I am studying. I am enrolled in a vigorous course load which includes honors classes and my cumulative GPA is a 3.7 at Ridgefield High, I am a member of the varsity golf team and I am currently playing with a handicap of 2.0. In 2016, I placed 2nd in two Hurricane Junior Golf Tournaments. In 2017-2018, I will be playing the U.S. Challenge Cup Series and participating in the Ivy League Series. On top of these tournaments, I will be participating in the Met-PGA tournaments throughout the Northeast. In the off season, I train 3 times a week and I am coached by Debbie Doniger, who is "Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher".
Being a member of a college golf team is important to me because I thrive in a team atmosphere. My commitment to team sports pours over from the golf course as I am in my second year as the head manager of the Ridgefield High School football team. In this role, I attend daily practices, weekly games and I am responsible for equipment, running the sidelines during games and assisting players and coaches. I have to be aware of what my teammates and coaches will need in advance and be committed helping them. On top of this, I have completed over 600 hours of community service and actively find ways to give back to the community.
