In July of 2016, I was selected to play in The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, and not only was it a great experience, I was chosen based on core values displayed on the course and in my community, along with my golf accomplishments. I loved every minute of, and even though I missed the cut for the final day by 1 stroke, I loved the way I played, shooting 73-75. At a young age, I was introduced to leadership in many ways. I'm currently captain of my high school golf team since 10th grade, and have run multiple basketball and golf camps since middle school. Golf has been in my family for generations, since both of my grandfathers were very involved in the sport. They instilled in me that things wouldn't come to me easy, or immediately, and that I'd have to have to work at everything 10 times harder than everybody else just to get noticed. After both of my grandfathers passed in the same week, I started to take the game of golf on as my primary sport, and made it my focus. That principle has made me the golfer I am today, and continuing in helping to make me an even better golfer for the future, because there is room for so much more improvement. Playing two sports has shown me just how much I must stick to a regimen, stay focused, and continue to better myself in and out of the face of competition. In the long-run, I know I can be a key player and leader in your program.
