Austin Henning '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi I'm Austin Henning and I have been playing golf for 3.5 years. I am dedicated to improving my game and am at the golf course training daily, rain or shine. I'm looking forward to any opportunity to play golf. From my upbringing, I learned from my parents to have pride in what I do and have a strong work ethic. I love to learn, especially about golf, and I retain information remarkably well. I'm always searching for challenges, ways to improve my game and competition. I currently play on my high school team, The Florida Junior tour while also competing in a local men's Sunday league. What separates me from other recruits is my mind and determination. To elaborate, as soon as I set something in my mind, it will get done. No matter how long it takes, how difficult it may be, I will work until I get it. If I don't understand something, I will use my resources to help me understand. I'm a go getter. Academics are prioritized heavily in my family and has influenced the way I think. My grades are up to "par", I currently have a 3.7 GPA and am working towards a 4.0 GPA. I haven't taken my SAT or ACT exams yet, but I will begin to prepare soon. On the USGA GHIN app I'm currently a 6.1 handicap but realistically, I have the game to shoot any were from 68 to 85. My current best round is -1 but I'm working to shave off shots. I'm transitioning into becoming a better player rather than being a good ball striker. I look forward to any opportunity and I'm willing to learn.
