Since Starting the golf team at Millsaps College in Jackson Mississipi, I have become the number one seed. I played all three of our fall events that consisted of 8 rounds. My scores were 70 twice, 72 four times a 75 and 0ne 78. While I like my coach and teammates, I am unhappy with the overall situation. I am a hard worker and go to the range daily to try to improve my game, in addition to weekly video lessons from my swing coach in Florida. The problem is, that while I want to become great, there are only 2 other players on my team that take the game semi-seriously and the rest are more interested in the social aspect of college. Putting in all of this hard work and traveling to tournaments where you know the team has no chance of winning, is incredibly frustrating. I have now entered the transfer portal and have permission fromy coach, athletic director and school to speak with Any coach that has interest in me. I hope to find a place on a team that has at least 5 guys who will do the work it takes to win a national championship. I have 4 A's and 2 B's at the end of my first college semester and I am an accounding major. My driver swing speed is 118mph, I work hard every day and am looking for a coach that is more than a schedule maker and a team that wants it as badly as I do. I prefer the South east, as I am born and raised in Florida and am not fond of the cold, but for the right opportunity will move where it takes to achieve my goals. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss any opportunities, or if you have any advise on transfering I would appreciate it.
