Aiden Holzborn '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aiden Holzborn, a future 2022  graduate of Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, FL.  I play soccer year round as I live in Florida for both club and High School teams.  I consider myself a passionate athlete, student and volunteer.

On the field, as a 2004 birth year player, I start as the CAM for my club 2003 team.  Last year, we finished with a 25-6-1 record and were seeded #16 in the Florida State Cup tournament prior to it being cancelled.  This year, we compete in 2002/2003 leagues and we are well positioned for a better seed and intend to compete for the Florida State title.  In the winter and spring we intend to play in several national level showcase events.  My High School team was knocked out of the 2020 7A State Tournament in the semi-finals.  My coaching staff honored me with the MVP-Midfield award for the year.

Fully realizing that the first priority in being a student athlete is being a good student, I currently maintain a 3.8 weighted GPA. 

Besides soccer, I get a lot of enjoyment out of being a volunteer.  On a regular basis, I help high school kids with many kinds of disabilities in learning and improving their writing skills.

While my field of study in college is still undecided, I am starting to lean in the Business School direction.

My Braden River SC coach would welcome a conversation on my performance on the field, work ethic and leadership.  He was a former international professional player and has continued to tell me I have what it takes to play at the next level.
