I will be a good candidate for a golf team because I’m a good teammate. I’m usually the first at the course for practice and meets and last to leave. I try to be positive even when I‘m having a bad day. I can improve on the next hole and my game is not based on a couple of bad swings. Now that I’m a junior, I try to encourage the freshman and sophomores to keep with it and not give up. With my ADHD, I look at every course as a challenge and take my game one stroke at a time. I would like to play at the college level and one day coach the younger generation of golfers.
When I struggle in school, I will ask for help and am greatful for the extra help my teachers provide to help me be successful. My goal is to get my degree in exercise science. I would like to run a sports training facility, be a teacher, or athletic director once I graduate from college.
I enjoy baseball as well and played it competively from the ages of 4-14. I find golf to fit better with my ADHD as I am able to depend on myself mentally and physically to finish each hole.
