I am currently a high school Sophomore student at The Episcopal School of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. I was born in Baltimore Maryland and hold dual citizenship of the United States and South Africa. I have played golf since I was eight years old and have competed in local NFJG (North Florida Junior Golf) and TPC Sawgrass, club events, with a stellar track record of success since I was ten. I am currently competing at the USGA, AJGA, Hurricane, IJGT and Florida Junior level while representing my school at the Varsity level.
I am a hardworking and dedicated student-athlete who has been able to manage my life’s priorities of academics, athletics, community, family, and social activities extremely well. I am absolutely determined to achieve my goals of continuing to excel in both my academics and golf, graduating high school, and then being a collegiate golf athlete at the most competitive level. I take practice and matches seriously, but also enjoy having fun and supporting my fellow teammates. The strength of my game is my consistent ball striking hitting a high percentage of fairways and greens. My short game is always an area of constant focus as this maximizes my scoring opportunities, and I have spent much of the summer working on distance control with my wedges. My mental attitude is one area I am particularly proud of. Having a positive mind set toward myself, my game, and my team is a strength of mine. Having also competed at a high level in soccer I fully understand the unique dynamic of being an individual, playing a team sport.
The perfect fit for me is to find a University and golf program that provides a diverse, challenging, and rewarding academic and highly competitive athletic environment. I specifically need a golf program that supports all parts of me, both on and off the golf course. Additionally, the golf program I choose must have a reputation of integrity and a proven track record of graduating its athletes so they may have the opportunity to be gainfully employed upon graduation. Finally, I need a coach and staff who will set expectations for the team to excel both on the golf course and in the classroom and then follow through by providing guidance and support to achieve both. It is important that my coach holds the team accountable for their work and actions and challenges my opportunities for growth while capitalizing on my existing strengths.
