My name is Mason Fundingsland. I am a Iranian-American 18 year old Senior at Milton High School in Georgia. I have played on the varsity golf team as a freshman, sophomore, Junior and now in my Senior year. Our team won the Georgia state 7A golf championship in 2021 and 2022. My current GPA is 4.33. I am also number 1 on the varsity team
I began playing golf at the age of 6 in Southern California and at the age of 11 began competitive play along with coaching/training. I enjoy working on my game and invest a great deal of time in practice and study of the game. I am used to being in pressure situations and while it is challenging, I have been successful and have wins to show for it. My goal is to play at the highest level I am able to achieve and feel that my positive attitude and team oriented approach to all sports will make me a solid member of a high performing team. This is especially important as I strive to achieve high marks in my collegiate career both on and off the course.
I am currently the president of a community service non-profit. My hobbies are baseball, fishing and other outdoor activities. I look forward to playing golf in college and continuing my studies with aspirations in either law or engineering.
I am happy to report that I have committed to Augusta University for golf!
