Quincey Augustine '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Quincey Augustine, and I am a senior at Maui High School in Hawaii. I have been playing golf ever since I can remember, but only about 4 years ago did I fall in love with the game and realize that I wanted to take my game to the next level.  My whole life I've been competing in whatever it was I was playing. I've been swimming since I was 5, for club or travel teams, as of recently my high school swim team won our Championship meet in 2020.  Due to covid, I missed out on playing for our high school golf, team for 2 seasons, only recently have high school sports even been approved for play.  During my Sophomore and Junior years although I couldn't compete I spent time working to improve my game with my coach Claud. During my Freshman year, I was shooting in the mid to high 90's, now I'm consistently shooting in the low 80's; however, this is just the first stop. Even though my game is solid at the moment, I know I can achieve much more by continuing to practice.  My goal for the spring is to be shooting in the mid 70's. I love and respect golf and its players because many perceive it to be an easy game despite the level of skill and practice it requires to master. I'm driven by my competitive nature, to put in hours, listen and learn, to improve my game. I'm able and willing to take my talent and experiences to any part of the country and want to put in the work to better the team, to better myself, and to play golf.
