I would love to go to a college that would accept me as not only a golfer but a student as well. As a freshman, my first year of high school golf was a new and challenging experience. I was pushed to perform better, and even though I did not achieve the score I was looking for, I did the best that I could. I was not as happy as I wanted to be about this years performance, so I decided to work harder and practice a lot more. My coach, even though kind and meaning well, did not help or improve my swing at all. In fact, he messed up my swing for a couple of my tournaments. Now I am not using my coach as an excuse for my performance, but using it as a reason to find a better coach and improve. I have been golfing since I was five, and not once have I found a coach better than Chris French. Around four years ago, Chris moved to California, and I had to find a new coach. Not one coach proved to be better or equal Chris, and it felt like my skill was no longer improving. This summer, Chris moved back to Rockford, and I have started to work every week on my swing, and my swing has improved astronomically. I feel that I can always do something if I really want it. To be honest, I could definitely try harder in school, and I could do better, but I don't enjoy it as much as I would like. Forensics is something that I really enjoy and fascinates me, which is why for the next three years, I plan on taking all three years of biomedical science. I feel that if I truly enjoy something such as golf or forensics, that I can excel in that subject.
