Personal Statement
I have been golfing since I was 2 years old. I watched my father golf and loved the sport. I am always studying the sport to make improvements. My aspiration now is to transfer universities, play competitive collegiate golf and eventually go on to the PGA tour. I don’t have anyone that has gone before me to pave the way so I am a little late with my marketing plan. I know that playing in competitive college golf is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life. I dream and see myself as a PGA tour player. I envision myself making significant and positive changes to this beloved sport.
I have a high golf IQ, I was the team captain and most valuable player for both my sophomore and junior years in high school. I am very coachable and if you give me the opportunity I will be one of the hardest working golfers you’ll find, earliest on the range and last to leave the course.
In the classroom, I have had all honors and AP classes. I attend a rigorous school and maintain C average. I also volunteer with the First Tee of Hammond Indiana teaching golf to underprivileged grammar school students, work with a teen group on issues to action, work part time at golf course, run track and field, am the lead man on our bowling team and teach chess to high school 7th and 8th graders.
I want to attend a college where I can combine my three passions golf, business administration with emphasis on entrepreneurial studies and pre-law. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at that will allow me to compete at my highest competitive level. It is my goal to give back as a role model for future golfers and make all the people that have believed in me proud.
