2025 Highlights #2
2025 Highlights I began golfing with my grandpa when I was about nine years old. What started as an enjoyable activity for us to share soon became a true passion for me. As I discovered my love for the game, I decided to pursue golf more seriously and began playing competitively.
Currently, I am a senior at Fulton (Illinois) High School and have played on the varsity golf team for all four years. I maintain a scoring average of 38 for nine holes and 77 for eighteen holes. My performance has earned me All-Conference recognition at various levels: Honorable Mention as a sophomore, 2nd Team as a junior, and a unanimous 1st Team selection as a senior. Our team has qualified for the IHSA state tournament three times and finished in 2nd place in both 2024 and 2025. In addition to school competitions, I have continued to develop my skills during the summer by participating in tournaments organized by the Hurricane Golf Tournament, Illinois Prep Tour, Iowa Junior PGA, and the Rockford Park District.
I am committed to working hard at my game and consistently strive to lower my scores. To achieve this, I take golf lessons and follow workout routines designed to help me get bigger and stronger. Recognizing that golf is as much a mental challenge as a physical one, I continually seek ways to strengthen my mental game by putting myself in pressure situations, maintaining focus, and remaining calm.
I am eager to continue my golf career at the collegiate level. My goal is to make meaningful contributions to my future team, not only through my play but also by bringing a positive attitude and strong work ethic to every practice and competition. I look forward to learning from experienced coaches and teammates, building new friendships, and challenging myself to succeed in both golf and academics.
