I started golfing with my grandpa when I was about 8 years old. It started out as something fun we could do together but then I realized I really enjoyed it and decided to start playing competitively.
I am currently a Junior at Fulton High School and have been a member of the varsity golf team each year. We have been conference champions all three years. In addition, I was selected to the All Conference team during my sophomore and junior years. Our team was a state qualifier last year and this year we finished in 2nd place. I continue to work on my game during the off season. During the summer I play in several youth tournaments, take golf lessons, and attend golf camps. I have access to a heated building during the winter, so I can get in swings while using several tools to improve my club speed and accuracy during the cold months as well. I work hard at my game and always strive to improve my scores. I also look for ways to improve the mental aspect of the game by challenging myself in pressure situations, staying focused, and remaining calm.
I would like to further my golf career at the collegiate level and am interested in pursuing a career in Golf Management. I maintain a 3.2 grade point average. I feel I am a very coachable athlete and use constructive criticism in a positive manner to improve my game.
