Cooper Thomas '24 Recruiting Profile

After playing golf on and off since I was about 8 years old, I made the decision to play for my high school golf team in the fall of my Sophomore year. It took some convincing from many of my friends, but I am glad I made the decision to pick up the game of golf. In that first year it was a struggle for me at some times in golf and in my personal life, but there was this feeling of pure joy that the game of golf brought to me that kept me going, such as the lifelong friendships that golf can provide. Since that time I have never looked back. Even though I have not been playing as long as most, I have worked very hard over the last year to become the best golfer I can possibly be day in and day out by working hard and playing in competitive tournaments across central Illinois on the Prep Tour.
