My name is Blake Stamper I am 16 years old 6'1" and 170lbs. I am going into the 11th grade and chasing my dream of playing college golf. I am a very coachable individual and will listen to criticism without taking it personal, my swing coach Brad Morrow has prepared me for that over the last two years. I will participate several tournaments in 2020, actually I should say we will participate because it is a team effort to participate in my events. My mom, dad and Nana will be there at each one of them with me, my swing coach Brad Morrow is getting updates from my dad during the round and my school coach Jami Parks is constantly on the phone with my mom and dad during the events wanting to know details, I am unbelievably fortunate to have all of these people help guide me an encourage me as well as criticize when it is needed. I am a very dedicated individual and try to prepare for the unexpected such as practicing in the rain, in the windiest of conditions, on rain soaked golf courses and even frozen golf courses. I try to practice smart and make the most of my time while on the range or putting green. I am a firm believer in quality over quantity rather it be on the driving range, putting green, golf course or preparing for an algebra exam. I was drawn to golf at an early age because of its ability to humble you one day and then the very next day reward you. I learned from Chris Redle, the Director of the Kentucky Junior PGA, that you always play the golf course and it will give you chances and you must capitalize on those chances, my mom and dad says its that way in life; you are given only a few opportunities and you must grab those opportunities. Thank you for taking the time to read about me, who knows maybe this is one of those opportunities. Please take time and check my web page out at www.blakestampergolf.com for my 2020 playing schedule and highlights from past and upcoming tournaments. In closing I want to add that I have been accepted into the IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida for my junior year, so starting August of 2020 I will be attending high school and the golf academy training program at IMG as well as boarding there. I am very greatful and excited for this opportunity and plan to enjoy and learn from this experience.
