Personal Statement
This past spring was my first year playing high school golf, my sophomore season. I lettered my freshman year in baseball, pitching some varsity. This year I decided to focus on golf as I feel like this is the sport I would most like to play at the next level.
My average score on my fairly easy home course is now around 71 and my low round is 65, my course adjusted handicap is 1.
In June I became only the second golfer in my high school’s history to win the individual sectional title, by shooting a 74 at a course I had only played one time.
I finished 2nd in the Terre Haute City Junior tournament this summer and also finished top 10 in all 3 of the Indiana Junior Tour events I played in. I plan on playing more of these events next summer.
I am currently working with Zac Treash on my game with weekly lessons all winter

- My first regional was both disappointing but also a great learning experience. I hit 2 balls out of bounds on hole 1 and made a 9.. This led to 45 on the front 9. However I stuck with it and shot a 37 on the back and that even included a double bogey. I hit 11 greens in regulation and hit the ball good all day other then 4 swings the led to 6 penalty shots.

- In my first attempt in the State Tournament I was the overall low medalist. This was the most exciting day of my golf career so far. I was 2 behind with 5 to go and played the the last 5 one under to win by one. I was only the second person from my school to ever win a sectional individually. Also, it was made even better that our school won the overall title for only the second time in history. I finished with a 74, which I felt should have been better because I hit 13 greens, but I had 35 putts.

- In my first WIC championship tournament I finished in 5th place to earn All-Conference. I had a tough finish with a triple bogey on 17 that cost me a chance at second or third.
