The first time I played golf was in a best shot at a family reunion when I was nine years old. The following summer I joined the junior golf program at my local country club and have been in love with the game ever since.
Qualifying and playing with my team in the Iowa High School state golf tournament last year as a freshman has been the highlight of my high school career to this point. Playing with the best in the state confirmed for me that I have the ability to play with anyone, but it also showed me that there is a lot of competition out there, and that there is plenty of room for improvement. I have always been the type of person who strives for perfection, and enjoys competing against the best. Those characteristics are what drive me to excel both in the classroom and on the golf course.
I am looking for a school that will allow me the opportunity to not only compete in golf, but also one that will allow me to reach my academic goals. As a three-sport athlete, I am no stranger to competition, and am constantly studying and working every day to become best student-athlete I can. I know I have the ability to play golf at the collegiate level, and have no doubt that I can provide the type of leadership, character, and attitude that will make an immediate impact on your program.
