Golf is my passion and playing collegiate golf is one of my short-term goals. Long term, I’m looking forward to a career in the sports field.
In my college career, I hope to play golf at a division 1, 2 or 3 school and focus my studies on business, marketing, or sports management.
My personal strengths include, hardworking, positive attitude, strong leadership skills, teamwork, and patients. In addition to school and playing lots of golf, I also work part-time.
I’ve played a few team sports over the years, such as basketball, football, and baseball, but golf is my #1 sport and priority. I’m practicing every day and focusing on consistency and my hard work is paying off with lower scores.
I’m fortunate to have had many excellent golf experiences and successes. The first, is getting my ticket punched to individually compete in the state golf tournament at Otter Creek Golf Course, Ankeny, Iowa. Secondly, in this golf season getting two holes in one. The first during a practice round at Veenker Golf Course in Ames, Iowa at a practice round for a Hurricane Golf Tournament I played in. The second one was during the district tournament at Brown Deer Run in Iowa City, Iowa on hole #12 hitting with a 9 iron. The district tournament was my lowest score of my high school golf season at 3 under par or 68. Lastly, playing in the 2021 John Deere Classic Pro Am as the first and only teenager to be given this opportunity. In 2023, I played in this Pro Am again with current pro and former John Deere Classic winner, Dylan Fratelli.
My personal desire for the game of golf along with my education aspirations are unmatched and would make me an ideal recruit for your program. I am currently in my junior year of high school and am excited to explore college opportunities to identify the college and golf program that align with my values and interests.
