Qualifying for the 4A Iowa State Golf Tournament my freshman year was the highlight of my golf career. Not qualifying for the state tournament my sophomore year created a desire in me to compete and be a part of a four-year collegiate golf team. Coming across a tournament on T.V. gave me the itch to try the sport in middle school. I fell in love immediately! I loved the sport of golf because no one in my family golfed. This taught me to be self-driven and learn on my own. My intense tenacity in life helped me to search and try all aspects of this game to get better. I have learned to communicate and adapt to different players in different situations. My curiosity and drive to be the best at what I am doing were found through playing golf. I have developed a great deal of patience and dedication when playing and bettering my golf game. During my remaining two years of high school golf, I plan to help and lead my team to become the best golf team we can be. I plan to attend camps during the summer and play in many top amateur golf tournaments nationwide. During the school year, I will continue to maintain my 4.0 G.P.A. and community silver cord hours. I will continue to reach my maximum playing ability with the hope of playing college golf.
