Trey Wood '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Trey Wood and I'm a senior at Pella Community High School in Pella, Iowa. I have been seriously golfing for 5 years and the past 4 summers I have played in tournaments on the Iowa PGA Junior Tour. My dad is the one who introduced me to golf by taking me out to the golf course at a young age but I didn't start taking it seriously until 7th grade. We play our high school season in the Spring and during my freshman, sophomore, and junior years I have been on the varsity team. The past 3 seasons I have earned the honors of both all state and all conference. During my junior campaign I helped lead our high school team to the state tournament. I have learned many things through golf which include; value of teamwork, work ethic, commitment, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I have the talent to compete on a college team, but also the work-ethic and leadership skills to make an impact on your program.
