I have been competing in junior golf events since I was eleven years old, and I have always loved the adrenaline rush and excitement that comes with each event. Since I was a young boy, my primary focus has been in the classroom, but I've also always found time to improve my golf game. As my skills continued to improve in high school, I began to realize that I would like to play college golf. Admittedly, I have never wanted to select a college solely on whether I could make the golf team, as I remain motivated to succeed at the highest level in the classroom and plan to select a college with strong academics. But I would certainly love to play for a college known not only for its academics but also for a strong golf team. I can promise that if I am invited to play for someone, I will continue working toward superior academic and athletic standards as I have done throughout my high school career.
One of my traits on the course which I am most fond of is my ability to maintain a level head throughout the round and take each shot one at a time. I have learned to play within myself, how to develop and stick to a strategy with solid course management and avoid getting caught up in how my playing competitors are performing. I also have learned how to handle adversity on the course and not allow a bad hole here or there affect the entire round.
