I want to play D1 college golf. I love golf and love to compete. I have a very good work ethic and get along well with others. This is my first year in high school, we have a spring golf season, so I have not played on my high school golf team yet. I did play all three years on my Middle School golf team and we were the Louisiana State Middle School Champions all 3 years. My 8th grade year I was 1st place Medalist.
I competed in the Louisiana Junior Cup this December at Southern Trace Country Club. My partner and I split our doubles match and I won my singles match 5 and 4.
My swing coach is Shaun Webb at The David Toms Golf Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. My strength coach is Michael Diffy, also at The David Toms Academy. I enjoy my workouts and like to see the progress of my strength and flexibility.
I attend Loyola College Prep in Shreveport, La. I am a Freshman and have a 4.0 non-weighted core GPA at mid term. I take Honors Math and Science. My school is on a block schedule allowing me to learn a college schedule, with flexibility in my schedule to leave campus at 12:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so I can go to the golf course and practice. I am learning the time management skills I will need to be a successful college golfer. I want to play for the best team I can. I feel that I can be successful and would love an opportunity to play and compete.
