My goal now is to go to college in the U.S. and study golf and academics, especially business.
I moved to States from Japan when I was 12 years old. In the 7th grade, I could hardly understand English, so I worked on the computer and did a self-study “Rosetta stone” in English on the class. Some of my classmates made fun of me because I was Japanese.
Golf is a sport my grandfather has been working on for a lifetime. When I was a little over three years old, my grandfather was practicing swinging in the garden, I was digging holes, making my own greens, playing putter. Each of these memories was the reason I chose a golf club.
At the golf club, I had fun memories with my teammates through practice and tournaments, and it was the first time I was able to feel confident.
I was amazed for the first time in high school practicing on the golf course. I was chosen as a Varsity in freshman, my motivation for golf has increased. My father has played along the course on the weekends with me and my daily self-training made my average score is 80’s.
In 2020, I participated in the “Under Armor Junior Golf Tour” and met some great golfers of my age group in the championship tournament, and I was inspired and determined to do more.
I've been trying the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour since 2021.
Since I’ve come to the U.S., I realize that the support of the people around me and my efforts will open the way to the future. I am grateful to be able to play golf with the support of my parents, teachers, and people around me, and I want to work hard every day to be able to be a under player at all times to reach my big goal, the PGA Professional, while studying business firmly at university for the future. And when I become a university student, I want to be volunteer coach to give back to my juniors in middle school and high school.
