Throughout my high school career, I feel I have made steady gains – not just in my golf skill development but also in my dedication to improving my personal self – with gaining confidence, mental toughness as well as physical gains in functional strength and nutrition - all while excelling in the classroom.
Although I learned to play at a very young age, it wasn’t until 2020 when COVID took away my other sports - it was only then that I was able to focus my attention on golf and fall in love with the sport. Over these last few years, even when I haven’t played my best, I can appreciate the opportunity I have had to play as well as the effort and work that is required to grow- this adversity has allowed me to channel my energy into improving myself into a more complete player.
My goals for college are to excel in the classroom as I have throughout my high school years and to continue to grow and learn this sport of golf, no matter where I play. I believe that my leadership skills with my teammates on and off the course, as well as my steady improvement and success on the state and tournament level, all combine with my academic achievements in the classroom to allow me to stand out from other recruits.
