Robert Cole '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Robert Cole and I am currently a junior at Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton Mass. I've been playing golf since I was 12 years old and have developed a true love for the game. I started out taking group lessons, then private lessons starting in 2010. For the past few summers, I attended Sankaty Head Caddy Camp, located off the eleventh hole at Sankaty Head Golf Course on Nantucket Island. My swing Coach is Drew Kayser, current Head Coach at Boston College. With his help, I was able to make my High School Team all 3 years I have tried out. Through my high school career, I have developed a handicap of 3.9. This past year I was awarded our teams Most Improved Player as well as Team Captain. During my freshmen, sophomore and junior year, I have taken Honors and College Prep Courses achieving an overall GPA of 2.8/5.0. My last semester GPA was a 3.3 and I am continuing on the same path this semester. 

I plan on participating in many NEPGA, AJGA, and FCWT tournaments this summer and into senior year. My next tournament is The Golf Week New England Junior Invitational, played at Mohegan Sun August 21-22 2013.

For the remainder of my High School career, I have already planned on dedicating my time on academic and golf performance. My goal is to attend a great school with a high-caliber academic and athletic program. I will be playing in multiple tournaments and plan to reduce my handicap as much as possible. Golf isn’t just a sport to me, its what I love to do everyday and will continue to influence my life day after day.
