My name is Zachary Tucker and I am a rising senior at Littleton High School in Littleton, Massachusetts. Since I picked up golf my Sophomore year of high school I have become utterly addicted to the sport. Immediately following my Sophomore season I began consistently taking lessons with PGA Certified Pro Rod Van Guilder, I swing my clubs in the front lawn every day which has led to my mom distraught about the lawn conditions, the driving range and putting green are my calm places after a long difficult day, or a paradise start to my morning. Everytime I pick up clubs it brings out a fire and passion that consumes and surrounds me, focuses me, and makes me feel truly relaxed, happy, comfortable, and feeling purposeful. Within the last year I’ve decided that I want to pursue golf to the highest level possible.
My academic goal for High School is to graduate with a GPA above 3.8 and an SAT score above 1335. I plan to achieve this by signing up for SAT prep classes and preparing myself fully for the test. I love golf and I will be using my education to further me into a career in golf that I will love. In College I would like to study Business and Management as a major along with related minors that accentuate my major.
The environment that competitive golf brings is one of the substantial reasons I want to excel to the highest level. I am an adrenaline junkie who loves the high stake feelings tournament competition brings. I have so much potential because I have not been playing golf for that long, only truly starting my sophomore year. I will be a great addition to your golf team because of my competitive drive, and my ability to be a great teammate, and my success in the classroom. On my current team I am always the first to arrive to practice and the last to leave. When in match play my competitive drive pushes me to focus on consistently making the best shot possible and applying as much pressure as I can to my opponent on every single hole. After just one season of playing competitively I received the honor of being named captain for my Junior season by my teammates and coaches. I believe this is because I am personable, I take every opportunity as a chance to learn to improve while also pushing others to do the same, and my coaches and teammates witnessed the dedication I put in during the offseason. If given the opportunity I would bring these same qualities to your team. Constantly I am thinking, sleeping, breathing, watching, observing, and learning golf. I absorb all golf knowledge like an endless sponge. I get consumed and lost in golf everyday, it is the number one thing on my mind. I want it to continue to be a major part of my life, for the rest of my life. The more I play, the more I want to play, and I can never get enough of my swings in. I know I have what it takes to work and leave an efficacious and immediate impact on your team.
