A few decent swin...I have been associated in some way with the game of golf for as long as I can remember, but my dad first put a club in my hands when I was four years old. Ever since I was a little kid, I knew that golf would become my overall passion in life, but I didn’t know how far I would take it until recent years. I now aspire to take my talents to the collegiate level and continue my career there.
I show persistent and precise ball striking with all forms of clubs, but especially wedges. In the most recent year I have narrowed down my wedge swing to a tee and can rely on my strong wedge game for situations where I may need to lay up, or am caught in a circumstance where I need to finesse a shot over an object. I also have a great ability to break down certain contours of the course, like reading greens for instance, to improve my shot making ability during a round. In the team aspect of the game, I show great leadership skills and am incredibly hard working on and off the course.
In the classroom, I maintain a very high GPA, as well as, overall class rank. On the flip side of golf, I also run cross country in the summer and fall seasons, as well as indoor track in the winter season. These two sports incorporate weight lifting and core strength training into the daily routine, which keeps increasing my athleticism year round. I would like to attend a college with a strong golf program, but also a college where I will be pushed on the course, as well as the classroom. All options are open to me and I hope to become a great addition to an incredible college that will give me an opportunity.
