My name is Luke Aldrich and my love of golf started when my parents joined a county club when I
was 7. I love to go to the club daily to practice and play. This year during the cold months, I have
decided to take the virtual school option and stay with my grandparents in Florida so I can play
and practice year-round. I made the high school varsity team my first year and was in the starting
lineup for my team. I have and continue to play in various tournament circuits including the
American Junior Golf Association, Golfweek Junior Tour, Kensington Junior Tour, Top50 Junior
Golf Tour, and tournaments through the Golf Association of Michigan. One of the highlights of my
tournament play was qualifying for the Michigan Junior State Amateur with a score of 76. It was
exciting to test my endurance during the Championship 36-hole stroke play. I have a real passion
to continue to improve and play golf. That is why I’m excited to continue my golf career along side
my academic pursuits at the collegiate level.
