Golf has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. My dad put a club in my hand at a very young age and I fell in love with it since. I used to dream of golfing with my dad and my older brother as soon as I was old enough. I kept putting in work as I grew up and was fortunate enough to have a home course to practice on whenever I needed. As I got older I learned more and exceeded my expectations.
In the 7th grade I was allowed to practice with the Varsity boys golf team along with 8th grade. I worked very hard at these practices to prove to the upper class that I was ready to play and ready to prove a point. Moving onto my freshmen year, I started off the season with a 2nd place medal and told myself that it wasn't good enough.
Later that year I worked even harder to progress so by time the regional match came around, I worked as hard as I could and shot 80 and was the top individual at regional's and was the only freshmen individual qualifier at the D4 State Finals. When I was 13 years old I also got a hole in one.
Golf is a passion of mine and by getting more experience and knowledge of the sport will only make me a better player. By playing for a college I feel I could live my dream and help out a team. I want to go for my PGA card as soon as I can. Considering I am only a Sophomore I still have some time to go, but I will not let myself flop and I will work harder every year to grow as a student and a player.
