2024 Highlights Personal Statement
I love to play golf. Although I play lots of different sports competitively and participate in many different extracurricular activities, golf is my biggest passion, and it is my dream to play in college and eventually on tour. I am a happy, focused, driven, hard-working person. I work extremely hard to improve my golf game and put myself in position to perform well in tournaments. My goal going into this year was to average in the low seventies and to place in the top 20 in my AJGA events. Even though this year’s golf season didn’t go the way I wanted, I dramatically improved from last year, which is very promising for my future prospects. I am able to balance all of my activities with my academics, as displayed by my GPA and the difficulty of classes that I take. I have parents who I admire and who support all of my endeavors. During the summer, I practice/play golf daily at Boyne Highlands Golf Resort, and I have taken a couple lessons from PGA Professional Shaun Bezilla. I am fortunate to have great people around me who have supported me and have helped me be the person I am and the golfer I am today.

- I shot 78 and won the tournament by 2 shots. Very difficult conditions with 40 mph wind gusts and cold temperature. Happy to come away with a win on a difficult course.

- This was the State Championship. Very difficult playing conditions on the first day, leading to only one player breaking 80 on day one. I shot 82, 77 and placed 5th. There were 120 players in the field.
