Ever since I picked up a golf club back when I was just 2 or 3 years old I knew I would be playing this game for the rest of my life. I've always enjoyed playing at a competitive level even though it hasn't always been as smooth as I'd hoped; taking that next step in competitive golf to the collegiate level would be a dream come true.
I am an easily coachable player and I have lots of room to improve whether that be my swing or my mental approach to the game. I have a deep passion for the game and some days over the summer you could find me on the course from 8 in the morning to 6:00 at night. If I have a bad few days in a row I tend to take a step back and take a 3 or 4 day break to recollect myself and my game. As soon as I find that drive to get better after my break I'm right back out on the course or the range improving my game.
On the academic side of things I am able to maintain a weighted GPA of 3.84 while still taking challenging classes like Honors, AP, and IB next year.
I am also the co-owner of a small clothing business that my friend and I run. We are just getting it started, but I can see it being a success in the future.
I am hoping to attend a 4-year college where I can pursue my major while also continuing my golf career. I want to get a scholarship to prove to myself, my family, and my friends that I have what it takes to make it in the real world.
